Cancer is a highly lethal disease. It is still the most dangerous disease confronted by humans. Despite many advancements in science and technology, we have not found a complete cure for cancer. Millions of people throughout the world die due to cancer every year. In our country, India, the disease of cancer is also very rampant.

The advanced diagnosis, rising population, change in lifestyle, and diet are leading to increasing cancer cases in our world. The disease of cancer also takes a financial toll on families. In a glimmer of hope, a new study by Johns Hopkins University researchers suggests that a simple blood test could help identify cancer years before symptoms even begin to show, potentially transforming the future of early diagnosis and prevention.

As a matter of fact, the heart of the research is a type of genetic material called circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). Tumors naturally shed fragments of their DNA into the bloodstream, but these traces are extremely minute and hard to detect, especially in the early stages.

This study offers a lot of hope in the fight of humanity against cancer disease.
