6 children die in road accident in Patiala

Six children and a driver lost their lives in a heartbreaking road accident in Patiala, Punjab. An Innova car carrying seven children collided head-on with a tipper truck. Local police said that the driver along with the six children died on the spot. One child is in critical condition in the hospital and has been kept in the ICU.

Patiala City SP Palwinder Singh Cheema said, “A very tragic incident has taken place. Seven children and a driver were in the Innova car. Six children and the driver died in the collision. One child is in critical condition.”

The driver of the tipper truck fled after the accident and is still absconding. Police said they are collecting CCTV footage and other evidence to find out the exact cause of the accident. At the same time, preparations are underway to file an FIR and legal action will be taken against the guilty.

The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. The families of the deceased children are in shock, and local residents are outraged by the reckless attitude of the drivers.
