Firecracker factories are a common sight in Tamil Nadu, especially during the festive season. However, safety measures are often flouted, leading to accidents. In 2021, a blast at a firecracker factory in Virudhunagar district killed 11 people. The state government has ordered a probe into the Krishnagiri blast. The district administration has also imposed a ban on the sale of firecrackers in the area.

The blast has once again raised concerns about the safety of firecracker factories in Tamil Nadu. The government needs to take urgent steps to ensure that such accidents do not happen again. In addition to the probe by the state government, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has also been deployed to the area to assist with the rescue and relief efforts.

The blast is a tragic reminder of the dangers of firecracker factories. The government needs to take steps to ensure that these factories are properly regulated and that safety measures are strictly enforced.
