BJP announces key promises for students, youth, and women in Sankalp Patra 2.0

BJP has reached out to youth by providing financial help before Delhi Assembly elections. Saffron party will give one-time financial help of ₹15,000 for competitive exams and will reimburse two-time travel and application fees.


The announcement came during the release of the second part of the party’s 'Sankalp Patra.’


"We will provide to the youth of Delhi one-time financial assistance of ₹15,000 for preparation of competitive examinations and reimburse two-time travel and application fees. This is Modi ki guarantee," BJP MP Anurag Thakur.


Party has promised free education to needy students from kindergarten to postgraduate in government schools. If voted to power, the party will start the Ambedkar stipend scheme to give ₹1,000 monthly to scheduled caste students in polytechnics and skill centres in Delhi.


For women, the party has promised ₹10 lakh life insurance and ₹5 lakh accident cover to domestic help if it comes to power in Delhi. Women are a big vote bank in Delhi.


Party has also reached out to auto-taxi drivers. BJP said it will form auto-taxi drivers’ welfare board, give ₹10 lakh life insurance and ₹5 lakh accident cover to drivers. Auto-taxi drivers are believed to be a vote bank of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party.


Voting will be held on February 5 and results will be declared on February 8.
