Ahmedabad, June 13:The black box of the London-bound Boeing 787-8 aircraft that crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad Airport has been recovered, officials from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) said today.
The aircraft was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members, a total of 242 people, when it went down just minutes after departure. According to authorities, there are 241 confirmed fatalities in the incident.
The black box, a bright orange-colored recording device, is a crucial tool for investigators. It records the voice conversations of both pilots and passengers, as well as other key flight data. This information is expected to aid investigators in understanding the cause of the tragedy.
The recovery of the black box marking a significant step towards investigating all possible factors that may have contributed to the catastrophic event.
