Chhattisgarh: 3 Naxalites Killed in Dantewada Encounter

image

Three Naxalites were killed in an exchange of fire with security officials in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on March 25, 2025.

The firing was as part of operations that are being undertaken against left-wing extremism in the state, which has seen more activities by security officials to act against Naxalite activity.

The gun battle took place in a forest belt, where security forces had encounters with the Naxalites on the basis of some intelligence inputs. Following the firing, bodies of the three slain Naxalites were recovered from the spot. In addition to the casualty toll, security forces also seized weapons and explosives during the operation.

This incident follows a recent bout of encounters in Chhattisgarh, where security personnel killed around 30 Naxalites in independent operations this month.

The state has been the hub of anti-Naxal operations, with the authorities vowing to eradicate insurgent activity and re-establish security in the affected areas.

Since operations continue, security forces are on red alert in attempting to dismantle Naxalite networks and maintain peace in the area.
