Cong Hails Armed Forces' Bold Strike on Terror Camps

The Indian armed forces have been highly appreciated by the Congress party for their courageous and accurate attacks on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) during Operation Sindoor, initiated against the Pahalgam terror attack which claimed lives.

 Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stated, "We are extremely proud of our Indian armed forces who have struck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.". We applaud their patriotism, determination, and courage." He underscored that Congress has always had a definite and strong policy against every type of terrorism originating from the other side of the border and that national interest is always paramount for the party.

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition, seconded this support in a message which read, "Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind! Total support to our forces, all the best wishes to them, lots of love to them. Total support of the Congress party and the Congress Working Committee." Gandhi also announced that Congress would attend the all-party meeting to discuss the crisis and remain united at this sensitive moment.

Congress leaders emphasized that since the Pahalgam attack day, the party has remained with the government and the armed forces, backing every strong action against cross-border terrorism. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh further added that India's struggle against terror has to be unyielding and always rooted in the highest national interest.

The party advocated national unity and solidarity, with Kharge declaring, "National unity and solidarity is the need of the hour, and the Indian National Congress stands with our armed forces. Our leaders have shown the path in the past, and national interest is supreme for us." Congress also pointed out that all INDIA alliance partners are in solidarity with supporting the armed forces and the actions of the government to defend the country and ensure freedom.

Congress has given unabridged and unstinted support to the military and the government for Operation Sindoor, praising the army's courage and professionalism, as well as urging all political parties to come together in the face of terrorism.
