In last 24 hours, India logged 2,897 new coronavirus infections, raising the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,31,10,586. Whereas, the active cases in the country have plummeted to 19,494, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated.
The country also registered 54 fresh Covid fatalities. the fresh deaths has increased the death count to 5,24,157, as per the data.
The Union Health Ministry also stated that the active case stands at 0.05 percent of the total infections.
Meanwhile, India also saw 2,986 Covid recoveries in the last 24 hours increasing total recoveries to 4,25,66,935. With this recovery rate ascends to 98.74 per cent. The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate were recorded as 0.95, 0.82 percent respectively, according to the ministry.
