Devotees gather in Ayodhya for Ram Lalla Anniversary

It’s one year since Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple and it’s a sacred time along with the celebrations.


Historic Ceremony: PM Narendra Modi performs rituals which turned centuries old dreams into reality on January 22, 2024.


Despite the cold, devotees are pouring in from all over the country to offer prayers. Many are crediting PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath for the Ram Temple. 


"In Ayodhya, the atmosphere is full of joy and devotion as we are going for Ram Lalla’s darshan," said Amita.


"All are happy and excited here. All the credit goes to PM Modi and CM Yogi," she added.


Anand, another devotee, said, "The government has done a good job with the arrangements; no one is facing any problem. This was a very nice experience, and everyone should experience it."

"We have come here from Kumbh. The 500 years of struggle ended one year ago due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS, and other organisations who worked tirelessly to make this dream come true," he said.


As the city is witnessing a rush of tourists and pilgrims, Ayodhya Police have tightened security.


SP City Madhuban Singh said, "The Pran Pratishtha ceremony is completing one year, and as the Kumbh Mela is ongoing, the number of devotees in Ayodhya is increasing. For efficient crowd management, the entire Ayodhya Dham has been divided into six zones and 17 sectors."


Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has concluded the 'Pratishtha Dwadashi Mahotsav' as Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla is completing one year according to Hindu calendar.


This grand event on January 11, 2025, coincided with Kurma Dwadashi in Shukla Paksha in Paush month.


The rituals for the anniversary were held on January 11 this year and saw a huge rush of devotees in Ayodhya. The anniversary started with full fervour and devotion and showcased the unity and faith of crores.
