IAF Chief AP Singh Briefs PM Modi Amid Rising Tensions: Sources

image

Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal AP Singh met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in New Delhi as the standoff between India and Pakistan increased following the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was to discuss the security situation and assess India's preparedness following the attack, which had been a concern for cross-border terrorism and regional stability, sources said.

The meeting comes a day after Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi had called on the Prime Minister to brief him on maritime security and the situation in the Arabian Sea, which underscores the government's emphasis on an across-the-board response from anywhere within the armed forces' divisions.

While the specifics of what Air Marshal Singh briefed PM Modi are not available, the timing is a reflection of the seriousness with which the government is taking the current security situation and its commitment to having good defense preparedness.

This high-level engagement is a show of India's determination to retaliate if there are security threats and be vigilant at its borders, especially in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.

Further news regarding the outcome of the meeting can be anticipated as events progress.
