The Indian Air Force (IAF) has corroborated that Operation Sindoor is still underway even after India and Pakistan agreed upon a cessation of hostilities understanding after several days of intense exchanges between the armed forces. While issuing an official statement on Sunday, the IAF declared it has "completed its tasked activity in Operation Sindoor with accuracy and professionalism" but made a point to emphasize that operations continue and a briefing will be submitted in due time.

Operation Sindoor was a May 7 response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed thousands and targeted several terror locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The IAF termed the missions as "deliberate and discreet, aligned with National Objectives," and asked the public and media to avoid speculations or releasing uncorroborated information until official reports are released.

The declaration comes during a tenuous truce, with the two countries agreeing to suspend all military operations on land, in the air, and at sea. Nevertheless, the IAF's continued operational posture indicates a high alertness and preparedness, together with the likelihood of additional actions if necessary.

The IAF's appeal for caution in speculation mirrors the delicate security climate and the importance of exercising restraint against misinformation during the ongoing military operations. The public is asked to wait for official briefings for precise information on the progress and developments of Operation Sindoor.
