IMD RELEASES ORANGE ALERT FOR ODISHA DISTRICTS IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS

IMD orange alert: The orange alert which is for isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted by Indian Metrology Department.

On July 21, Friday several rain-related incidents in Odisha resulted in Three people being injured and seven houses in district  Malkangiri were damaged.

The IMD issued an orange alert for 4 districts in Odisha for the next 24 hours.


While IMD senior Scientist Mr. Umashankar said, heavy rainfall in Odisha's several districts is predicted, while low pressure is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal on 24th July.

The four main districts are; Balangir, Kalahandi, Nuapada, and Nabaranghur.
