India Strikes Back: Hits 3 Pakistani Airbases After 26 Sites Targeted

India struck missile attacks on three of the most important Pakistani airfields-Nur Khan (Rawalpindi, just outside Islamabad), Murid (Chakwal), and Rafiqui (Shorkot, Jhang district)-at dawn on May 10, 2025, as an immediate retaliation after Pakistan struck 26 Indian locations with drone and missile attacks, including civilian sites in Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The Indian attacks, as part of Operation Sindoor, were targeting military bases and airfields suspected of being used to launch attacks against Indian soil.

Pakistani military confirmed the raids, saying its air defense systems intercepted most of the Indian missiles, and asserted that none of its air force installations sustained significant damage. Nevertheless, blasts at all three airbases were reported, and Pakistan retaliated by sealing its air space until noon and threatening greater action.

This encounter represents a significant escalation in India-Pakistan tensions, as both sides have been carrying out cross-border shelling, drone attacks, and missile strikes since the April Pahalgam terror attack. Both armies continue to be on high alert, and the situation remains highly volatile.
