India thwarts Pakistan Attack , destroyed Air Defense System

In a significant development and another moment for pride, 

Pakistan's attempts to escalate tensions late last night and early this morning - by targeting Indian military installations in the northern and western parts of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Gujarat - have been negated, the government said Thursday.

In this regard, the government said Indian forces had targeted and neutralised Pakistani Air Defence Radars and systems in several locations, including Lahore, in response to Pak attempts to attack multiple locations, including Srinagar, Pathankot, Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Chandigarh.

Pakistan military tried to target Indian installations last night which was thwarted by alert Indian forces. India retaliated to the attempt by taking out Pakistani defence systems. 

Ministry of Defence stated that,

On the night of 07-08 May 2025, Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India using drones and missiles, all of which were effectively neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems. In response, Indian Armed Forces targeted Air Defence Radars and systems in various locations in Pakistan. The intense unprovoked firing by Pakistan along the Line of Control has led to the loss of 16 innocent Indian lives and our forces acted decisively to silence the hostile fire. India’s response has been in the same domain, with the same intensity, and remains focused, measured, and is non-escalatory.
