An all-party delegation of Indian parliamentarians, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, was welcomed by Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia, B.N. Reddy, at the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. The delegation paid heartfelt homage to the Malaysian national who lost her life in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

According to the official Twitter handle India in Malaysia, High Commissioner BN Reddy set the context for the Indian delegation's engagements in Malaysia, emphasising India's firm resolve in fighting terrorism.

“All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, led by Hon’ble MP Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jha, interacted with representatives from leading Malaysian media houses and social media influencers. Briefed them about the purpose of their visit, meetings with Malaysian interlocutors and the new normal in India’s zero tolerance against terrorism. The delegation also paid homage to the Malaysian national who lost her life in the Mumbai terror attack in 2008 (26/11 attacks) and brought out the threat posed by terrorism to the whole of mankind.”, the Indian High Commission posted.

While addressing the Indian Community in Malaysia, Sanjay Kuma Jha highlighted that terrorists attempted to create communal disharmony in India through the Pahalgam terror attack by targeting specific groups, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

"The way terrorists targeted a particular community, their purpose was to spread communal disharmony in our country, but we are a mature nation. Even a small incident did not erupt...," Jha said while addressing the Indian community in Malaysia.

Jha also provided details regarding Pakistan's attempt to establish a ceasefire, revealing that the Pakistan DGMO attempted to contact India's DGMO in the morning. However, due to a problem with the hotline, the message was relayed through the Pakistan embassy in India.

The delegation to Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Singapore is led by JD-U MP Sanjay Kumar Jha and includes Aparajita Sarangi (BJP), Abhishek Banerjee (Trinamool Congress), Brij Lal (BJP), John Brittas (CPI-M), Pradan Baruah (BJP), Hemang Joshi (BJP), Salman Khurshid and Mohan Kumar. So far, they have visited Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
