IRCTC to connect India, and Nepal via tourist train under Bharat Gaurav Scheme

According to IRCTC, the train has a capacity of 600 passengers and will travel through major cities including Ayodhya, Buxar, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Kashi, and Prayag, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Kanchipuram, and Bhadrachalam

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is geared up to first time connect India and Nepal through tourist train under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme of Indian Railways. 


According to an official statement by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the first train connecting the two countries will depart on the Shri Ramayana Yatra Circuit from New Delhi on June 21.


The train will start its journey from Safdarjung railway station and travel a distance of approximately 8,000 kilometers between India and Nepal on the Shri Ramayana Yatra Circuit. The Ramayana Circuit on which the train will run is identified under the "Swadesh Darshan" scheme and will cover prominent places associated with the life of Lord Shri Rama. 


The train will also take its passengers through Ram Janaki temple in Janakpur located in Nepal.


According to IRCTC, the train has a capacity of 600 passengers and will travel through major cities including Ayodhya, Buxar, Janakpur, Sitamarhi, Kashi, and Prayag, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi, Rameshwaram, Kanchipuram, and Bhadrachalam.
