On Monday in Karnataka, The Lokayukta sleuths are conducting raid and search operations at residences of government officials for allegedly ammasing wealth disproportionate to their income.


At more than 48 locations in Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Dharwad and Tumakuru, from the early hours on Thursday in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) cases against government officials.


A former Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) engineer in Davangere, a constable in Bidar and a sub-district officer in Kodagu are among those who were raided by the Lokayukta.


The anti-corruption body on Thursday raided properties belonging to two government officers in Mysuru. Properties belonging to the Superintendent Engineer of Harangi Dam Raghupati are being searched and the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kodagu District Nanjundegowda’s properties.


The Lok Ayukta is conducting inspections at 10 places today in connection with four cases registered against government officials in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Lokayukta raids were also carried out at additional houses of SP Nanjunde Gowda at Madikeri town in Kodagu district, his father-in-law’s house at Maganahalli village near Periyapatna town and the houses of his relatives in Mysuru town. Lokayukta officials reportedly seized money and documents from his house in Madikeri.
