Mumbai, May 12:

To address increasing national security issues, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis hosted an urgent meeting with the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force's highest officials to intensify coordination and readiness. The meeting was conducted at the CM's official bungalow, Varsha, and centered on an AI-driven strategy to further intensify cooperative efforts to secure the state, particularly Mumbai, which continues to be a prime target owing to its economic and strategic significance.

Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were also present, as well as senior defence officials such as Lt. General Pawan Chadha, Rear Admiral Anil Jaggi, and Air Vice Marshal Rajat Mohan. The meeting was also attended by senior officials from important institutions like the RBI, Bombay Stock Exchange, JNPT, and Mumbai Police.

Chief Minister Fadnavis appreciated the strength and accuracy displayed by the armed forces in recent operations. "We have to work with full strength, and for that, the sharing of intelligence becomes very important," he said, highlighting the need for smooth communication between the state and defence agencies.

The main points discussed during the meeting were:

* **Sharing of Intelligence:** Augmenting real-time data sharing among state bodies and the military to ward off any threat before it becomes dangerous.

* **Cyber Security Measures:** Augmenting cyber defense for sensitive infrastructure, particularly finance and communication networks.

* **Coastal Security:** Enhancing patrolling and surveillance along Maharashtra's long coastline to forestall illegal acts and incursions.

* **Public Awareness & Misinformation Management:** Forming a plan to combat the spreading of misinformation and panic, in particular through social media.

The Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, ensured full cooperation by the state government in favor of Indian defense forces. Nodal officers will be put in place in order to create a direct line of smooth contact between the defense forces and the government, announced he would do.

The conference ended with an agreement of concerted proactive security planning, enhanced channels of communication, and collective operational preparedness to react within minutes to any impending threat.
