Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the Maharashtra SSC Class 10th result of 2025 on May 13, with an overall pass rate of 94.10%. The result was released almost two weeks in advance of last year's announcement, giving relief and happiness to more than 16 lakh students who sat for the board examinations conducted between February 21 and March 17, 2025.
This year, 16,10,908 students registered for the SSC exams across Maharashtra’s nine divisional boards, with 15,98,553 actually appearing for the tests. Of these, 14,87,399 students successfully passed, resulting in the 94.10% pass rate. While this is slightly lower than last year’s 95.81%, it still reflects a strong performance overall.
Girls again topped the boys in Maharashtra SSC results 2025, as they had done in other years. Girls' pass percentage was a staggering 96.14%, against boys' pass percentage of 92.31%, thereby having a performance advantage of 3.83% in girls' favor. The number of girls who took the exam was 7,22,968 and 6,95,108 passed, whereas 8,23,611 boys took the exam and 7,60,325 passed it.
Among the eight divisions, Konkan had the highest pass percentage of 98.82%, followed by Kolhapur with 96.87% and Mumbai with 95.84%. Pune division had a pass percentage of 94.81%, while Nagpur had the lowest pass percentage of 90.78%. Other divisions like Nashik, Amravati, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Latur had pass percentages between 92.77% and 93.04%.
Maharashtra SSC exams were held in 66 subjects in eight different mediums like Marathi, English, Hindi, Urdu, and others. 5,130 exam centers were established in the state as a whole. To prevent any unfairness and malpractice, the board stationed 271 flying squads and irrevocably withdrew recognition for 37 schools that were implicated in exam misconduct.
The Maharashtra SSC 2025 results are available online through official websites like mahahsscboard.in, mahresult.nic.in, sscresult.mkcl.org, and sscresult.mahahsscboard.in. The results are available by putting in the student's roll number and mother's first name. The marksheets available online are provisional, and students will have to obtain the original mark sheets and passing certificates from their respective schools in a few days' time.
The MSBSHSE system of grading SSC results is as follows: 75% and more as Distinction, 60% and more as First Division, 45% to 59% as Second Division, 35% to 44% as Pass Grade, and less than 33% as Fail.
Apart from the overall performance, the board also provided subject-wise performance data. Of the 62 subjects taught, 24 subjects registered 100% pass rate, signifying strong academic performance in different areas.
