Moscow-bound flight makes emergency landing in Delhi after fumes detected:-

Russian airline Aeroflot’s flight, travelling from Bangkok to Moscow, made an emergency landing at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Tuesday after suspected fumes were detected in the cabin.


According to airport sources, a full emergency was declared at the national capital’s airport at around 3:50 pm.The Aeroflot flight SU273 was carrying over 400 people, the sources stated, adding that all passengers are safe.The aircraft involved was a Boeing 777-300ER, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.


Aeroflot, the flag carrier and largest airline of Russia, has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.


Meanwhile, Indian carrier Air India’s flight from Toronto to Delhi was diverted to Frankfurt on May 2 due to clogged lavatories.


An Air India spokesperson confirmed the diversion was due to a technical issue, while airline sources stated that flight AI188 had to be diverted to Frankfurt as some of the lavatories were unserviceable, PTI reported.
