Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav will be inaugurating a new flyover built at a cost of Rs 154 crore in Bhopal on Thursday. This flyover will help in better traffic management in the city.

The flyover built on Maida Mill Marg in Bhopal is 2,900 meters long and 15 meters wide and connects Gayatri Mandir to DB Mall Square, Board Office Square, Pragati Square, and Ganesh Temple via Mansarovar Complex.

The flyover also connects Maida Mill Marg to residential and commercial areas like Vidya Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Kasturba Nagar, Saket Nagar, Danish Nagar, Ashima Mall, AIIMS. It will also make travel smoother for commuters going to Obedullaganj, Narmadapuram, Betul, Khandwa and Jabalpur.

The flyover will reduce traffic congestion in areas like DB Mall, Board Office, Pragati Petrol Pump and Mansarovar Square. Initial estimates suggest 60% of the traffic will use the flyover and 40% will use the existing routes, ensuring smoother and better traffic flow in the area.

A branch of the flyover extends from DB Mall crossing towards Bhopal Haat (Mantralaya Marg) and will provide great relief to employees working in offices at Vallabh Bhawan and Arera Hills during peak hours. The improved traffic flow will save time for commuters and reduce vehicular pollution and will make life better for Bhopalites.

Earlier on Wednesday, CM Yadav attended the "Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh" in Pune and met with investors and industrialists to attract them to set up industries in the state.

Before leaving for Pune, CM Yadav met with media in Bhopal and said his government is working towards industrialisation of the state.

"I am happy that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working for the industrialisation of the state through all its departments. The way Regional Industry Concalves are held in the state so far, we have received encouraging investment proposals at all the conclaves. Investment proposals worth around Rs 4.5 lakh crore received and around three lakh people would get employment opportunities," CM Yadav said.

He added that for Global Investor Summit to be held on February 24 in the state, it is his duty to invite big industries and he is here for that.
