Secunderabad: Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan praised the success of Operation Sindoor as a clear example of the smooth cooperation and teamwork between the Army, Navy, and Air Force. While speaking to senior officers and participants of the 21st Higher Defence Management Course at the College of Defence Management in Secunderabad, he said the operation showed the strength of joint planning and execution. This teamwork is essential for India's defense readiness in today's technology-driven warfare.

In his address on National Security Architecture and Higher Defence Management, General Chauhan discussed how India's defense organization has evolved and its current structure. He pointed out the achievements of the Department of Military Affairs, the work of key national security committees, ongoing organizational changes, and the plan for creating theater commands to enhance joint capability. He emphasized the need for developing capabilities, promoting self-reliance in defense production, and understanding the significant changes being implemented to tackle new challenges in warfare.

During the event, the CDS released the Joint Primer for Integrated Logistics. This guide was created by CDM to standardize and digitize logistics processes across the Armed Forces. He highlighted that logistics is crucial for military operations and that integrated Tri-service logistics, including digitization, shared provisioning and procurement, and alignment with the national logistics system is essential for efficiency, readiness, and strategic effectiveness. The primer aims to improve coordination, boost operational efficiency, and ensure better effectiveness across all three Services.

To support the Armed Forces’ dedication to innovation and sustainability, General Chauhan launched the Smart Bike Public Bicycle Sharing Facility at CDM. This new initiative, developed in partnership with Smart Bike Mobility Pvt Ltd., will offer personnel easy access to eco-friendly e-bikes for their daily commutes. This will help reduce carbon emissions while encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.

Commandant of CDM, Maj Gen Harsh Chhibber, provided an update on recent efforts to enhance professional military education for future leaders. He mentioned that CDM, as a top Tri-service institution, continues to play a crucial role in preparing senior officers with modern management skills for higher leadership positions. The ongoing 44-week HDMC includes 167 participants, including 12 officers from friendly foreign nations, showing India’s commitment to regional cooperation and military diplomacy.

With Operation Sindoor and the ongoing reforms, India is reinforcing its image as a military power based on Tri-service cooperation, strategic foresight, and readiness to tackle any defense challenge.
