New Delhi , May 25: On Sunday ,Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address through his monthly radio programme “ Maan Ki Baat” said that Operation Sindoor was far more than a military strike—it was a testament to India’s evolving strength, unity, and global standing.

Speaking during his radio programme, the Prime Minister also described the operation as a defining moment in India’s fight against terrorism and a clear indication of the nation's changing posture on global security.

“Operation Sindoor represents the courage, determination, and transformation of a new India,” Modi said. “Today, the nation stands united against terrorism, filled with anger and resolve.”

He praised the Indian armed forces for the precision and success of the cross-border mission, calling it “extraordinary” and a “symbol of clarity and confidence” in tackling threats beyond borders.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the wave of patriotism that swept across the country following the operation. Citizens expressed their support through poems, songs, art, and public rallies. In cities like Katihar and Kushinagar, some families even named their newborns “Sindoor” to honour the mission.

“I recently visited Bikaner, where I was presented with paintings made by children, inspired by the operation,” he stated .

Modi attributed the mission’s success to India’s indigenous defence capabilities, developed under the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. “The bravery of our soldiers was supported by weapons, technology, and equipment made in India,” he noted.

He further added that Operation Sindoor had energized the 'Vocal for Local' movement, enhancing public enthusiasm for self-reliance and innovation.

“This success belongs not just to the armed forces, but to every engineer, technician, and citizen whose efforts made it possible,” he added.
