"Fearless in unity. Boundless in strength," said cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, as he joined the Indian sports community in hailing the military for its bold operation of Operation Sindoor, where they hit terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

Indian defence forces, in the early hours of Wednesday, conducted precise missile attacks on nine terror camps, including Jaish-e-Mohammed's headquarters in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's camp in Muridke. The attack was a direct response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 people, mostly Indian tourists.

Following Tendulkar, some of the country's well-known sportsmen responded on social media with a display of their gratitude and respect toward the forces. Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, penned, "Saluting our brave hearts. Nation stands strong with you." Neeraj Chopra, who has won Olympic gold, put up on Twitter, "India stands tall today. Jai Hind."

Sania Mirza, the tennis champion, commented, "May peace win, but may justice never be denied. Proud of our armed forces."

Olympic medallist and wrestler Bajrang Punia said, "Yeh naya Bharat hai – jawab bhi deta hai, aur dikhata bhi hai."

The solidarity demonstrated by India's sporting fraternity resonated with the mood of millions nationwide. Hashtags #OperationSindoor, #IndiaStrikesBack, and #JusticeForPahalgam trended across the country.

Indian sports heroes' sharp reaction highlights the emotional resonance of the attack on Pahalgam and increasing support for quick national security measures.
