PM Modi to Launch Landmark Projects, Highlight Women’s Empowerment on Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th Birth Anniversary in MP

New Delhi, May 31, 2025: 


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh on Saturday to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, the revered 18th-century queen celebrated for her visionary leadership and welfare efforts. He will address around 2 lakh women at a Women’s Empowerment Conference at Jamboree Maidan, commemorating the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilya. At the conference dedicated to Nari Shakti, the PM will release a commemorative stamp and a ₹300 coin dedicated to Lokmata. 


The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Datia and Satna airports and flag off passenger services on the Super Priority Corridor of the Yellow Line of Indore Metro. “In a major boost to last-mile air connectivity, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Datia and Satna airports, opening new opportunities for industry, tourism, education, and healthcare in the Vindhya region,” an official release stated. 


As part of his packed day-long schedule, the Prime Minister will also release the first instalment for the construction of 1,271 Atal Gram Sushasan Bhawans, with a total outlay of over ₹480 crore. “These buildings will provide permanent infrastructure to gram panchayats, helping them manage administrative functions, conduct meetings, and maintain records more efficiently,” the PMO release further said. 


Currently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day trip to four States to launch numerous development projects, as he keeps up a busy itinerary touring different regions in the run-up to the first anniversary of his third term in office.
