PM Shehbaz Sharif Proposes Talks with India , after ‘Operation Sindoor’ Strikes Pakistan

Islamabad/ New Delhi, May 16,2025:

Following operation Sindoor over the nine terrorist camps in Pakistan by the Indian Government. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif has extended an offer for a diplomatic talks with India to Achieve peace , calling it an “urgent de-escalation and Constructive dialogue”. However , This talk however, will be focus only on Kashmir . 

In contrast , India insist Jammu& Kashmir as an integral part of India . Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation following the operation says that “ "I would also like to tell the global community that our stated policy has been: if there are talks with Pakistan, it will be only on terrorism; and if there are talks with Pakistan, it will be only on POK”.

He further added that Pakistan support for terrorism could ultimately led to its own downfall and achieving peace is not possible without dismantling terrorist infrastructure.

Although ,Tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors remain high, and security has been tightened along border areas and the Indian Armed Forces were reportedly on high alert amid fears of a potential escalation. 

India and Pakistan on May 10 finally ,decided to reach an understanding on the cessation of hostilities .
