Prayagraj Mahakumbh: Devotees praise flawless arrangements

Mahakumbh 2025 has seen a huge rush, over 389.7 million have taken a holy dip in Triveni Sangam after the start of the festival.


The event is being called a spiritual and cultural fest, pilgrims from across the globe are praising the arrangements.


Over 3.79 million have taken a holy dip at Magh Mela in Prayagraj till 8 am today.


As per officials, over 1 million Kalpwasis are staying at the Mela premises and 2.79 million have visited the festival so far today.


Meanwhile, total number of devotees who have taken a holy dip since start of the Mela has crossed 389.7 million as of February 5, 2025.


Devotees are thanking the smooth and efficient management of the festival, so that they could take a peaceful and divine dip in Ganga. The arrangements, security, sanitation and amenities have been appreciated by the pilgrims.


A devotee who just returned from the sacred gathering said, "I just returned from Mahakumbh in Prayagraj and was impressed by the arrangements despite the massive crowds. Taking a holy dip in Ganga was a surreal experience and I felt blessed. The organizers have done a great job in managing the lakhs of devotees. Jai Ganga Bhaiya!"


Ajay Gahlot from Bareilly said, "I liked bathing in Gangajal. After 144 years Kumbh comes and I feel fortunate to have bathed in it. This was a lifetime experience. System was very good."


A devotee who came with family said, "I'm happy to have experienced Mahakumbh in Prayagraj with my parents. Taking a holy dip was a once in a life time opportunity and I feel blessed."Manjeet Kaur from Ajmer, Rajasthan said, "Yes, I feel very lucky to be here. Before coming I was scared after watching videos about the crowds. But after coming here everything was crystal clear. Arrangements are excellent--no problem anywhere. Bath, darshan-everything is well managed. People say one may get lost in Kumbh but there is no such fear."


Kusum Kumari Pandey from Buxar, Bihar said, "Arrangements are very good and we have taken a peaceful bath. There are many things here that Modi ji has done... It's amazing."


Earlier on Wednesday, PM Modi took a 'Snan' at the Triveni Sangam - the confluence of three rivers, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati and called it a moment of 'divine' connection.


In a post on X, the Prime Minister said he felt devotional after taking a dip in the Sangam.


"Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection, and like the crores of others who have taken part in it, I was also filled with a spirit of devotion," PM Modi said on X.


"May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health and harmony," he added.


Mahakumbh 2025, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe. The Mahakumbh will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
