On Thursday, the fourth Vande Bharat Express train in the nation was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Una railway station in Himachal Pradesh.

The train will run from New Delhi to Amb Andaura in Himachal Pradesh.

According to officials, the new Vande Bharat train is an improved version compared to the previous ones since it is significantly lighter and can reach higher speeds in shorter durations.

The train stops will be Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib, and Una. It will operate six days a week, excluding Wednesdays. It takes only 52 seconds to reach 100 km/h. The introduction of the train will boost tourism in the area and offer a fast and convenient way to travel.

On his arrival at Pekhubela Helipad in Una earlier, the prime minister was welcomed by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

After launching several projects and laying the foundation for them in the two districts of the poll-bound state, the prime minister will go on to speak at two public events in Una and Chamba.

In the previous five years, the prime minister has made nine trips to Himachal Pradesh.

Later this year, elections will be held in Himachal Pradesh.
