Punjab Chief Minister has made an announcement of a grant of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the victim who was killed in a Pakistani drone attack. The accident occurred on the India-Pakistan border, where a drone had dropped explosives, causing a tragic death of a 35-year-old farmer.
The CM offered his condolences and stated, "The Punjab government stands with the victim's family in this hour of need. We will extend all possible help to the family and take steps so that such incidents do not occur in the future."
The victim, a farmer in Fattuwal village, was tilling his field when the drone attack took place. The authorities have opened an investigation and are collaborating with security agencies to determine who was behind the attack.
The Chief Minister also assured that the state will beef up the security at the border to save people. "We will see to it that all those living along the border are safe and will take every step to prevent such attacks," he added.The local populace has welcomed this statement, although there are some demands for stronger security measures around borders as well.
