These Teachers were demanding regularization of their services. some people from the spot showed police were forcefully taking protesting teachers to the bus and police station. the farmer leaders who tried to protect them were also beaten by the Police.
Some protestors were injured and some were detained by police, few protestors were hospitalized.
Teachers said that on 5 September 2022, in Punjab Bhagwan, CM Bhagwant Mann announced the regularization. but rather than regularizing them CM has only increased their salary for IEV from Rs.5,500 to Rs.1,500 and for Education providers under three categories has been increased up to Rs. 23,500, Rs 22,500, and Rs. 20,000.
As per the words of the police officer, police briefed them about everything and urged them to talk at the table but they were taking laws and orders into their hand, and even the protesters misbehaved with a police constable. That's why police had took immediate strict actions to stop them when they are not getting stopped even by barriers.
