Rajnath’s Vow: No Mercy for Plotters

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has sounded a stern warning following the ghastly terror strike at Pahalgam. 26 lives were lost in the attack, which occurred in the Bhisran Valley of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night. Those killed were tourists, locals and a newlywed naval officer.

Rajnath Singh was prompt to respond and stated, "Those responsible for this attack will be punished. We will not only identify the attackers but also those who were behind the conspiracy in the background. "He said this, 'India is united against terrorism, we will continue to adopt a zero tolerance policy.' The 'The Resistance Front', which is associated with the banned Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Taiba has claimed responsibility for the attack. Security agencies have released photos of three suspected militants who took part in the attack. Intelligence sources said that the attack was planned from Pakistan."

Following the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned from Saudi Arabia and requested the Defence Minister to examine the situation. Modi then stated in a post, "Those who committed this atrocity will be punished, and their agenda will never succeed."

Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jammu and Kashmir immediately after the attack and assured vigorous action against terrorism. In his words, "The guilty will be punished, swift action will be taken against them."

Following the attack, a heart-wrenching clip of a woman was telecast in which her husband was gunned down before her eyes. Through it, a scenario of the inhuman exploitation of human rights by terrorists was exposed.

Ex-Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah labelled the assault the largest attack in recent history. "This is not an attack, it is a conspiracy," he declared.

The incident reminds us that the struggle against terrorism is crucial not only on the border but also politically and diplomatically.  Rajnath Singh's forceful message conveys India's greatest commitment and power - the struggle against terrorism will go on, and its cause will eventually be eliminated.
