Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar has termed his recent interaction with floor leaders of different political parties as a "very fruitful interaction."
The meeting, which took place on March 25, 2025, was on key issues relating to the judiciary, especially in the wake of the recent revelation of a huge cache of cash from the house of a Delhi High Court judge.
While deliberating, Dhankhar reiterated that it is imperative to maintain the legal order built by Parliament and hoped for good discussion among the party heads. He conceded that the issue here goes beyond court affairs, having implications for the sovereignty and jurisdiction of Parliament.
The session saw the major inputs of stalwarts like Mallikarjun Kharge, who emphasized the need for openness in judicial issues.
Dhankhar pointed out the effort of the Supreme Court to disseminate information on the cash find to the public, which he feels has received widespread acceptance.
