Major Tripat Preet Singh, a 34 Rashtriya Rifles (Jat Regiment) officer, was recently granted the coveted Shaurya Chakra by the Honorable President of India for his outstanding gallantry. A year ago, while on an operation in Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir, he killed a Category-A terrorist. He personally commanded six individual operations, neutralizing nine elite terrorists successfully, which made a huge impact on national security.
Major Tripat, a resident of Khan Malk village in Gurdaspur, was received in great honor and celebration on his arrival in his home village. His family, friends, and villagers were filled with immense pride in him and his bravery and accomplishments. His wife Seerat and father Hardayal Singh Pudda were also filled with their deep pride in his valor.
In an interview, Major Tripat Preet Singh revealed that he did his preliminary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kapurthala, and then joined the Indian Army via NDA. He revealed that commanding various significant operations was an honor, and his greatest achievement was neutralizing the Category-A terrorist in Shopian, for which he was awarded the Shaurya Chakra.
