Due to stomach problems, Sonia Gandhi, a senior Congress leader and the chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party, was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the nation's capital on Sunday evening. 

According to hospital officials, the 77-year-old leader is presently being treated by the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and is in stable condition. In a formal statement, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital's Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Ajay Swaroop, confirmed her admission. 

At 9 p.m. yesterday, Smt. Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital under the auspices of the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology due to a stomach-related problem. At the moment, she is stable and being watched," he stated.

Her health is being closely monitored by the hospital's team of specialists. Doctors have stated that all necessary investigations are being carried out, but no additional information about the precise nature of the illness has been revealed. The veteran politician's admission comes after a string of recent medical consultations. Sonia Gandhi reportedly received treatment for high blood pressure at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla during her routine checkup earlier this month, on June 7. On June 9, she also went to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for additional testing.
