For first time in Kerala, an incident of stone pelting has been reported. The event took place when the train was passing through an area between Thirunavaya and Tirur in the northern district of Kerala at around 5 pm on Monday.
Due to withdrawl of stoppage from Tirur station in Malapurram district, strikes and protests by throwing stones had been done by unrecognisable culprits.
Railway Police Force has reported that the train continued its journey upto Thiruvananthapuram without any further disturbance and no one was hurt.
Earlier the incidents of stone attack on Vande Bharat Express has been reported from Telangana, Bihar, UP, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh since it started its run from Feb 2019.
