Telangana CM Revanth Reddy hoists flag on 76th Republic Day

Revanth Reddy unfurls national flag at his residence on 76th Republic Day. Revanth Reddy also laid a wreath at Veerula Sainik Smarak, Parade Grounds, Hyderabad on the occasion.


Today India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day, people all over are celebrating the day with great fervour, getting into the patriotic mode. The atmosphere is electric as the whole country comes together to celebrate the democratic values and the constitution.


India saw a display of its cultural diversity, unity, equality, development and military might at Kartavya Path in the capital.


From missiles to advanced weapon systems, Indian Army displayed its military hardware on Kartavya Path. This showcase by Indian Army shows the army’s commitment to innovation and self-reliance in defence manufacturing and India’s growing capabilities in developing advanced indigenous defence technologies.


Indian Air Force (IAF) put up a thrilling show at 76th Republic Day with a spectacular aerial display.

Speed and precision on display today. Three MiG-29 aircraft in ‘Baaz Formation’ flypast in ‘Vic’ formation along with IAF Marching Contingent on Kartavya Path, wow! 40 aircraft/helicopters - 22 fighter jets, 11 transport aircraft and 7 helicopters of IAF. Rafale, Su-30, Jaguar, C-130, C-295, C-17, AWACS, Dornier-228 & An-32 aircraft and Apache & Mi-17 helicopters from 10 different bases.


Tableaux from various states, union territories and Central Ministries rolled down the Kartavya Path, beautiful designs, decorations and themes.


President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag at Kartavya Path on 76th Republic Day, followed by national anthem with a 21-gun salute using 105-mm Light Field Guns, an indigenous weapon system.


This year India had invited Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto as the chief guest for Republic Day.

This year Republic Day marks 75 years of Constitution and the theme is “Jan Bhagidari” (people’s participation).


Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid a wreath at National War Memorial, India Gate and paid tributes to the brave hearts who laid down their lives for the country, then President Murmu unfurled the national flag, assisted by Indian Navy officers Lieutenant Shubham Kumar and Lieutenant Yogita Saini.
