Rudraprayag:
A tragic accident occurred on Thursday morning during the Char Dham Yatra, when a Tempo Traveller carrying pilgrims from Rajasthan fell into a river in Rudraprayag. There were 19 people on board.
So far, two bodies have been recovered. Seven people—including two children, two women, and three men—have been rescued and sent to the hospital.
The incident took place at Ghalthir in Rudraprayag as the passengers were traveling uphill from the town. Upon receiving information, rescue teams quickly reached the spot.
According to the Disaster Management Authority Control Room, the vehicle was carrying a total of 18 passengers. Out of these, 7 have been sent to the hospital, and the search for the remaining passengers is ongoing.
