The Uttarakhand government has announced a free bus service for women passengers in the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on August 31 this year. The free bus service will be available from 12 midnight on August 30 to 12 midnight on August 31. This means that women will be able to travel for free on all Uttarakhand Roadways buses within the state during this period.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, said that the decision to offer free bus service to women on Raksha Bandhan was taken to honour the womanhood and to make the festival more enjoyable for women. He has also directed the officials to ensure that the free bus service is implemented smoothly and that women face no inconvenience.

The free bus service is a welcome gesture by the Uttarakhand government and will surely be appreciated by women in the state. It will help them to travel to their homes and to meet their loved ones on this auspicious occasion without any hassle.

The free bus service is also a commendable initiative by the state government to promote gender equality and women empowerment. It sends a message that the government values the contribution of women in society and is committed to their welfare.

The free bus service will be available on all Uttarakhand Roadways buses within the state. Women can avail of the free bus service by showing their identity proof to the bus conductor.

The free bus service is a limited-time offer and will only be available on August 30 and 31. Women are encouraged to make use of this opportunity to travel for free and celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their loved ones.
