Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) has launched the Jagti Declaration – 2025, an initiative aimed at justice, cultural preservation, and the reclamation of the homeland for Kashmiri Pandits. The declaration, unveiled at the Press Club, Jammu, emphasizes youth leadership and grassroots action to strengthen the Panun Kashmir movement.
Rahul Kaul, Apex Body Member of Y4PK, described the declaration as a “renewed commitment to the Margdarshan Resolution 1991,” calling it a roadmap to preserve heritage and secure the community’s future.
Key initiatives include:
1. Year of Revival in Jagti: The Jagti Displacement Camp will host major community programs throughout 2025.
2. 3rd International Kashmiri Hindu Youth Conference: A global event in Jagti to mobilize young Kashmiri Hindus for the Panun Kashmir cause.
3. Ajay Khosa Memorial Scholarship: Full education funding for students up to Class 12 and sponsorship for 30 scholars at the Jonraja Institute of Genocide and Atrocities Studies.
4. Reaffirming Margdarshan Resolution 1991: Panun Kashmir remains the community’s vision for rehabilitation.
5. Enhanced Security in Jagti: Installation of 100 solar-powered streetlights to improve safety.
Vithal Chowdhary, President of Y4PK, highlighted the role of youth, stating, “This declaration is a pledge to remain steadfast in our mission. The youth will drive our initiatives.”
General Secretary Digamber Raina applauded the community’s overwhelming response to the Nishkasan ka Dard event, adding, “The Jagti Declaration strengthens our roadmap for justice and identity.”
Ashwani Bhat, a senior activist, underscored Jagti’s significance as a symbol of resilience.
Youth activists expressed their dedication to the movement. Sahil Pandita stated, “The declaration empowers the youth to lead the fight for our homeland.” Akshay, another activist, added, “We will ensure our community’s struggle is recognized globally.”
