Do you support separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir": CM Yogi asks Rahul Gandhi

CM Yogi added, "Does the Congress talk to Pakistan at the expense of the youth of Kashmir and again support separatist propaganda?..." Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi whether he supports the National Conference's demand? To roll back Article 370 and Article 35A and separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a rally in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramgarh assembly constituency, CM Yogi said, "I want to ask Congress leader Rahul Gandhi whether he supports the National Conference's decision to have a separate flag for Jammu and Kashmir. Does Rahul Gandhi support the National Conference's demand? To bring back Articles 370 and 35A and plunge Jammu and Kashmir into an era of unrest and terrorism?

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah hit back at Rahul Gandhi, reminding him that the Congress has imposed President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir most of the time.

"Rahul Gandhi just made a statement that outsiders will rule in Jammu and Kashmir. He was referring to our LG sahab (Manoj Sinha). Rahul baba, those who write your speeches are not telling you the truth. If there is a party that has imposed Jammu and Kashmir President's rule in Kashmir most of the time, it's Congress," Amit Shah said while addressing a public meeting in Kathua that went to the polls for the first phase of the September 18 polls.

Citing the polling rate, the Home Minister said that the increase in voter turnout was due to the end of terrorism in the region.

"Due to the end of terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir recorded a record 55 percent voter turnout. Farooq Sahib, the days are over when one could get 8,000 votes to go to Lok Sabha. Now democracy is strengthened in Jammu and Kashmir," said Amit Shah. The Home Minister also said that it was PM Modi's efforts to hand over the power of decision making to the people.

"You now have Panch-Sarpanch in your village. More than 40,000 people are now celebrating democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. For decades, 3 dynasties of NC, Congress and PDP have promoted nepotism. Now, due to Modiji's efforts, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir is the state. Part of decision making is to improve the situation," he said.

Amit Shah added, "If BJP candidates Jeevan Lal and Dilip Singh win, there will be celebrations all over the country. But if Congress and NC (National Conference) candidates win, there will be celebrations in Pakistan. Do you want Pakistan to celebrate? ? ..."

The BJP leader promised that they will not allow Rahul Gandhi to end reservations (if Congress comes to power)."Rahul baba said he will end reservation when he comes to power. Rahul baba, whatever your intentions, we will not let you end reservation," Amit Shah added.

The second phase of J-K assembly elections was held on 25 September. Voting for the third and final phase will be held on October 1 and the counting of votes will be on October 8. Assembly elections are being held in the Union Territory for the first time after a gap of ten years and the repeal of Article 370.
