Ukraine ,May 25 :
Russia has launched the most extensive aerial assault of the war so far, firing a total of 367 drones and missiles across multiple cities of Ukraine ,killing over 13 people and injuring dozens more.
The Ukrainian Air Force has reported intercepting 266 drones and 45 missiles, but widespread damage occurred, especially in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Zhytomyr, where three children were among the dead. In Khmelnytskyi, four people were killed. This strike follows a similar large-scale attack on Kyiv just days earlier.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticised the United States, especially under former President Donald Trump, for not responding more assertively and called for stricter sanctions against Moscow.
Despite strong Ukrainian air defences, the massive barrage has intensified the humanitarian and infrastructure toll in an already ravaged country.
