In the India Tour of England, the Indian women are presently leading the current T20I series against the England women 2-1.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said that the English captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has a groin injury and missed the third match, needs time to recover for the upcoming three-match ODI series. Hence, Nat will miss the rest of the T20I series and Tammy Beaumont will continue as the skipper. They also added Maia Bouchier to the squad.
The Indian team won the first two matches of the series by a huge 97 runs and 24 runs under the leadership of Smriti Mandhana (1st T20I match) and Harmanpreet Kaur (2nd T20I match), respectively. India just needed one more win in the series to lock it in their name, but Tammy’s England team stepped up in the third match with a last-over thriller. And keep England alive in the series, but the remaining matches are must-win matches for them.
Tomorrow the game will be at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground and according to IST, the fourth match will begin at 11.00 pm. Ahead of the fourth T20I, the Consul General of India, Manchester, Mrs. Vishankha Yaduvanshi, invited Team India to the Old Trafford Stadium to celebrate not only cricket but also courage, competence and breaking boundaries.
