He gave up all his favorite foods no roti, rice, sugar, or anything made with refined flour. Bakery items were strictly prohibited.” Instead, his meals included healthy greens like broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, sprouts, salads, boiled or grilled chicken, eggs, and seafood. Daily consumption of green tea or green coffee was mandatory, and processed food was eliminated entirely.
Alongside the strict diet, Sarfaraz followed a rigorous training regimen every single day. It wasn’t just batting or fielding drills his entire fitness approach was revamped. His father also joined the routine and managed to lose 12 kilograms himself. The entire family embraced a lifestyle of discipline and healthy living, turning their home into a fitness-driven environment to support Sarfaraz’s goal.
The results are already evident. Sarfaraz now moves faster, reacts quicker, and has visibly improved agility on the field. More importantly, he is brimming with confidence. Having conquered the challenge of weight and endurance, his sights are now firmly set on making a permanent spot in the Indian national team.
Many former cricketers have praised Sarfaraz for his transformation. Former England captain Kevin Pietersen highlighted his journey as a source of inspiration, even urging fellow Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw to take note and follow suit. “If Sarfaraz can do it, anyone can,” Pietersen remarked, emphasizing how dedication can rewrite any athlete’s future.
