Ahmedabad, May 19 ,2025:The Gujarat Titans are once again lending their voice to the fight against cancer, as they prepare to wear lavender-themed jerseys during their upcoming home game on May 22, 2025, against the Lucknow Super Giants. This marks the third consecutive year the team has embraced this kind of initiative which aimed at raising awareness about cancer and the significance of early detection.
In a press release, the franchise emphasised their commitment in spreading awareness about timely screenings and equitable access to cancer treatment. To further intensify the message, the Titans will be distributing around 30,000 lavender flags and 10,000 lavender jerseys to the fans in the stadium, transforming the atmosphere into a powerful visual tribute to cancer warriors.
Colonel Arvinder Singh, COO of Gujarat Titans, shared his thoughts on the initiative and says that “This is the third year we are standing together in support of cancer awareness. We are deeply grateful to our fans who have stood by us in championing this cause. On May 22, the city of Ahmedabad will come together to echo a message of hope and strength in the fight against cancer. We want people to know that with early detection and proper care, cancer can be overcome."
Team captain Shubman Gill also voiced his support, stating
“As players, we understand the influence we have. Wearing the lavender jersey is a symbolic gesture of our support for those battling cancer. It's a tribute to their courage and a call for action—urging everyone to stay informed, prioritize their health, and believe that cancer can be conquered through awareness and resilience."
