The Indian men's and women's compound archery teams swept into the finals of the World Cup Stage 2 with dominating victories here on Wednesday, ensuring the nation of two medals from the elite tournament.
As the compound archers remained in top form, it was a dismal scenario in the Olympic class recurve segment, where the Indians had a woeful day with only Dhiraj Bommadevara managing to finish in the top-10, with the rest struggling with plain qualifying scores.
The No. 1-ranked men's trio Ojas Deotale, Abhishek Verma and Rishabh Yadav comfortably beat Great Britain 239-232 in the quarterfinal before edging out a tough challenge from Denmark 232-231 in the semifinal.
