The Indian Men's Hockey Team has departed from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, to participate in the European leg of the FIH Pro League 2024-25, scheduled from June 7 to 22 in the Netherlands and Belgium.
India will kick off their European campaign with double fixtures against the Netherlands (June 7 and 9), followed by matches against Argentina (June 11 and 12) at Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen.
The team will then travel to Antwerp for back-to-back games against Australia (June 14 and 15), concluding their tour with matches against Belgium on June 21 and 22.
Captain Harmanpreet Singh stressed on the significance of this leg, stating that it was crucial to build on their position and qualify for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026.
Vice-captain Hardik Singh also highlighted the team's positive momentum from recent training camps.
Currently ,placed third with 15 points, India aims to secure maximum points and boost their chances for World Cup qualification.
