IPL Eliminator: Gujarat Titans Face Mumbai Indians in Knockout Duel

Ahmedabad, May 29:The IPL 2025 Eliminator match will witness Gujarat Titans lock horns with Mumbai Indians in a high-stakes encounter on Friday. Both sides have plenty to prove as they vie for a place in the Qualifier 2.

Led by Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans have stumbled into the playoffs, struggling with form and conceding heavily in recent games. 

Key pacer Mohammed Siraj will need to strike early, especially with left-armer Arshad Khan underperforming. Prasidh Krishna has been a standout with 23 wickets and will be crucial once again. Spin spearhead Rashid Khan’s dip in form remains a concern.

On the batting front, the absence of Jos Buttler leaves a big void, with new recruit Kusal Mendis expected to fill the gap. Gujarat’s hopes rest heavily on the top-order trio of Gill, Sudharsan, and Mendis.

Mumbai Indians, under Hardik Pandya, also face a great setback with the departure of in-form players like Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks. Jonny Bairstow is likely to partner Rohit Sharma at the top, while Suryakumar Yadav continues to be the backbone of their batting.
