Jasprit Bumrah May Miss Multiple Tests Against England

India’s pace spearhead to be rotated during England tour, ruled out as Test captain

India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is unlikely to feature in all five Tests during the upcoming England series due to ongoing workload management. 

Chief selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed that the pacer’s participation will depend on his physical condition throughout the series.

Bumrah, who battled a back stress reaction during the Australia tour, had expressed physical distress during the Melbourne Test. 

Despite recovering to play in the IPL, his injury history prompted selectors to opt against naming him Test captain.

Agarkar stated”Even if he plays three or four Tests, he’s capable of winning them for us,” .

Bumrah’s stellar record in England includes 37 wickets in eight Tests at an average of 23.78.
