The West Indies Legends are all set to make history in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, as cricket fans will witness a spectacular moment—former West Indian stars will take the field wearing the most expensive jersey in the history of cricket.

This special tournament is being held in England, where legendary former cricketers from across the globe will reunite for a fresh showdown of glory. What has drawn the most attention is the jersey of the West Indies Legends team, as it is made using real 18-carat gold. More than just a sports outfit, this jersey is a piece of wearable history.

This luxurious jersey has been crafted by renowned Dubai-based fashion brand Lorenze in collaboration with Channel2 Group Corporation. It will be available in three editions—crafted with 30 grams, 20 grams, and 10 grams of pure gold. Each jersey shines like an ornament, with exquisite craftsmanship and stunning visual appeal. Not merely made for playing, this jersey is also a collector’s item.

The design reflects the rich heritage, legacy, and pride of West Indies cricket. It pays tribute to the legends who elevated Caribbean cricket to the world stage through their talent and determination. From Sir Clive Lloyd to Brian Lara and Sir Viv Richards, the jersey honors the spirit of these iconic players.

The jersey will be worn by legends like Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Samuel Badree, Marlon Samuels, Darren Sammy, and many others during WCL 2025. Team owner Ajay Sethi stated, “This jersey is not just a uniform—it’s a part of history. It represents the emotion and pride of cricket fans around the world.”

Lorenze founder Raj Karan Duggal added, “With this special jersey, we are not just celebrating the legacy of Caribbean cricket—we are paying deep tribute to the spirit of sports. It is truly a ‘wearable history’ that one can proudly carry.”

The tournament will begin on July 18 and continue until August 2, with matches scheduled across Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, and Leeds in England. Eight teams, composed of former cricket stars from different nations, will compete for the title. Legends from India, England, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, and West Indies will participate in WCL 2025.

The golden jersey of the West Indies Legends has already created a buzz in international media. This is the first time such an extravagant initiative has been taken in cricket. Often, it's not just the game that makes history—moments like this stand out and are remembered for generations. This jersey is undoubtedly one of those unforgettable moments.

The initiative has sparked excitement and emotion among cricket fans worldwide. A perfect blend of history, tradition, and modern innovation—the West Indies Legends’ “Golden Jersey” will forever remain a glorious chapter in world cricket.
