Islamabad, June 2, 2025: Maulana Abdul Aziz Esar, a high-ranking figure in the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), has reportedly died.
The senior militant leader, considered one of the most notorious members of the group, was a native of Ashrafwala in Kallur Kot, located in Bhakkar District of Pakistan’s Punjab province.
According to the sources within JeM, Esar is believed to have succumbed to a heart attack, although no official confirmation regarding the exact cause of death has been issued by Pakistani authorities.
His funeral is scheduled to take place at the JeM headquarters (Markaz) in Bahawalpur, also in Punjab. Security arrangements around the area are expected to be heightened, given the high-profile nature of the deceased within extremist circles.
Maulana Esar , known for his senior role in JeM's operations and ideological outreach, maintaining close ties with the group’s top leadership. His death marks a significant moment for the group, which has been responsible for numerous attacks in the region over the years.
